FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
The Herrington Teddy Bear Company
Creates Smiles at
Children's Hospital of Orange County
with Choco Bear!
Irvine,
California - October 2008 There is a new teddy bear in town and
he's ready to bring smiles to the faces of children hospitalized
at the Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). His name is
Choco Bear and he is the signature bear of CHOC. The Herrington
Teddy Bear Company, well-known for their signature teddy bears,
has recently brought this logo bear to life in bean bag form. He
will be available for purchase in early November at the hospital's
gift shop.
Choco
Bear is an 8" bean bag style teddy bear made of the softest
lamboa fur. Choco Bear came to CHOC after falling out of a tree
and breaking his arm. He was given such great care there that he
decided to stay and brighten the days of other children in the hospital.
He is honey brown, and even though his left arm is bandaged, he
is still able to put forth a smiling face because he is truly loved.
He even has his own appreciation day every June. He wears a big
red embroidered heart on his chest. Choco Bear is a well-known character
at CHOC and he even has his own blog
page. Check in often to see what is going on at CHOC.
"There
is no greater reward than being able to bring a smile to the face
of a sick child," said Chris Herrington, founder and chief
artist of The Herrington Teddy Bear Company. "Children light
up when they see Choco Bear and we are proud to be a part of this
program."
